UPDATES
11 february 2006
z apologizes for being terrible at updating. z also apologizes for the fact that there has been nothing to update about, as there is no new album as of yet. but luckily, one of z's coworkers has graciously agreed to do a test recording of z's material in his new studio, which is wonderful. more on that as it evolves.
due to freeweb being a terrible and unreliable guestbook service provider, and thanks to being pointed in the right direction by the wonderful kael, thar be a new guestbook afoot. hop over to the link on your left and christen the new page with your creative and amusing thoughts. old entries will hopefully be transferred within the next week, pending the old site actually functioning for a split second.
and as always, live long and wu tang.

nothing much new. 5 more pieces were uploaded to the music section and are now available for download. obviously they are from the most recent album, "exhale metamorphosis," as is evident on the music page. please download at your leisure.
keep an eye on the schedule page, as z may have a show coming up at borders. the basement-people are wonderfully spectacular and nice and have not yet managed to scare z away. if anyone out there in cyberville knows someone buying bulk books for educational or corporate purposes, direct them to the corporate services person! it's a wonder of a deal! i can't believe i just said that. look, there's the required shameless plug.
not much else is new. a second job looks to be appearing on the horizon, so that next album may be delayed a little bit due to lack of time. but no worries, it will be out by christmas.
as for other updates, nothing comes to mind.
Z'S SUGGESTED ALBUM OF THE WEEK:
"chinatown" - the be good tanyas. specifically the first track, "it's not happening."
and now a few random pictures from the past few months to keep you busy:

i would just like to illustrate the irony (or coincidence?) of a guestbook entry posted by margaret (of ohio) on the 07 of october in 2003:
you're so amazing my dear, i am so proud tp have known someone like you. i can't wait to buy your cd's at borders and such places some day and say, yes i knew her once...
some of you may know i have recently been employed by the borders empire. thus, this comment strikes me as funny. AHA, MY PLAN TO INFILTRATE AND INVADE THE BOOKS & MEDIA MONOPOLY IS ALMOST COMPLETE! BWAHAHA.
z out!

so...here it is. the zarairis site, version eight million and one. this site has been moved and redone so many times it's not even funny. but this version looks slightly more user friendly, and thus shows promise.
feel free to check out the newly added merch section. though there isn't much available at this point, more will be coming in the next few months as financial situations are improved and an actual account can be purchased (with this free account, only one design can go to each object, which allows for very little variety). the bio has been tweaked, and there is now a schedule of shows (meager as it may look right now). there are also "zara iris" stickers that can be sent out for free if you so desire. drop z an e-mail if you're interested, and you will receive a sticker shortly!
the most major update right now would have to be the fact that
KNOPF/RANDOM HOUSE IS PUBLISHING ONE OF Z'S POEMS.
this is great news, and everyone seems to be really excited about it. the poem will be published in an anthology entitled "The Full Spectrum." for more information on the anthology and the reason it is coming together, please feel free to check out www.queerthology.com.
as mentioned on the bio page, a new album should be coming out within the next few months. the album will be called "patriot art," and feature a variety of pieces put together over the last year, as well as one or two oldies-but-goodies that will be re-recorded. the instrumentation will be exciting, the album work will be wonderful (as is all of kris posthuma's photographic genius), and it will be a party.
so please, check out the site, tell your friends, always use protection, and don't drink and drive.
