my name is zara iris. mainly czech/polish background on my dad's side, and mainly bohemian background on my mum's side. i have 2 siblings. my brother, age 11, and my half-sister, age 29. i love them both dearly. i live at home with my parents but i dream of living on the road with my guitar playing in coffeeshops and cafes, making only enough money to get to the next show. i move a lot. figuratively and literally. mentally and physically. what else is there? let's see.
the order of my life goes as follows, in order of precedence they take:
1. friends
2. schoolwork
3. softball/music
4. laundry
5. employment
i love music. and i record cd's of my music. head on over to this site if you're interested in what i do. got 3 cd's out already, currently have a fourth in progress. thank you for those of you who support me with everything. i appreciate it tons. when i end up working at mcdonalds, i will send you all free ketchup packets.
i love physical contact with people with whom i love physical contact. that said, i love spooning and hugging and i am a big emotional drama queen so everything cheesy is good. well, not everything. really spooning and hugging. yay. i love sleeping with other people. waking up next to one of my friends (i mean that completely platonically) is pretty dizzamn close to the best feeling ever. so if you ever need a bed, come on over. you can share mine.
what bands do i like? hmm. to spout off a few...
bitch and animal, tegan and sara, ani difranco, the be good tanyas, alix olson, liz phair, nick drake, the butchies, team dresch, nine inch nails, david bowie, velvet underground, blind melon, they might be giants, pink floyd, chemical brothers, the police, tears for fears, scout niblett, dan bern, melissa ferrick, doria roberts, ember swift, and swany.
i go to fmc in ohio for camp in july. it's a music camp. i love it.
i'm from a richshit suburb of philadelphia. if you live here, you can be my friend. i like going to manayunk to look at all the things that are too expensive for me to buy with my po' ass, and i like going to south street for the same reason. except there are much more interesting people on south street than in manayunk. manayunk is the rich aristocratic version of south street. but i love it all the same. i also like going to longwood gardens, the harvest show at the horticultural center, concerts, and coffee shops. i like walking through narberth town-area, too. but nobody knows where that is.
i love a lot of people very easily. but very few very strongly. and i break easily. so don't hit me too hard, yes?
